Hi, I'm Linnx. Well... not really.

That's just the name I use on the internet. My actual name is Yathra, which is probably the most Indian name you'll read today.

I've been messing around with computers for as long as I can remember. I started learning Python when I was around seven years old. Then came HTML, CSS, JavaScript and, because apparently I couldn't sit still, a bunch of other programming languages.

Was I good at all of them?

Absolutely not.

Did I think I was?

Absolutely.

Somewhere along the way I stumbled into cybersecurity, so naturally I wanted to know how all this "hacking" thing worked. That curiosity quickly turned into spending way too many hours reading random forums, breaking things, fixing them, and occasionally breaking them again

Like every kid who discovers cybersecurity, I also went through the "I'm basically Anonymous" phase

I made mistakes. Some really dumb ones. Looking back, some of those mistakes were honestly really dumb. But they taught me something pretty important

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

During the COVID lockdown I decided it was a brilliant idea to start a YouTube channel called iProfessor. I made videos in Tamil about computers and ethical hacking

The editing was questionable and my confidence was somehow still at 100%

Eventually I stopped uploading because my report card started looking like it had been hacked

So I actually sat down and studied

Turns out I wasn't bad at studying

I was just incredibly talented at procrastinating

Later the channel became Yathra TV, but by then I was more interested in building things than recording them.

Over the years I also started reporting security issues responsibly instead of just seeing if I could find them. One of those reports was acknowledged by LEAD (an educational institute), and they even featured me in one of their community stories

Honestly, that felt a lot cooler than pretending to be some elite hacker on the internet

Why this blog?

Because one day I'll probably forget how all of this started.

This blog isn't here to convince people that I'm successful.

I'm just a high school student who likes building random things and learning new stuffs

Some projects will fail

Some ideas will never leave my notebook

And I'll probably write about all of them

Maybe nobody reads this

Maybe a few people do

Maybe future me comes back here in five years and laughs at how dramatic I sounded

Either way, I'm glad I started
